Diana Nani is a subsistence farmer and petty trader in Wegbe-Kpalime where she cultivates cassava and maize, and raises pigs. She has been farming since 2003 and became a member of the GBS MicroLoan & Savings (MLS) Program in 2012. Since that time, Diana has increased her landholding to six acres with three acres under cultivation.

When Diana expressed interest in expanding her farming activities into poultry raising, GBS provided her with a chicken coop that will make it possible for her to gather eggs and to protect her chickens at night. Poultry farming, along with growing market crops is an important economic activity as it generates the funds for Diana to pay the school fees for her children and to help support the seven members of her household.

Diana and GBS want to thank our generous donors who help provide a hand up to our MLS members. You make a difference. Thank you!
